Barbara June Vogel

Barbara June Vogel Our beloved mother, at the age of 93, peacefully passed away on November 6, 2023, after a brief illness at the HopeWest Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born June 11, 1930 in Denver, Colorado. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Donald Joseph Vogel. Together, they raised an amazing family of ten children. Once her children were all in school, she worked as a church secretary, retiring from IHM parish in the early 90s.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma. Her heart and home were filled with laughter, joy, and unconditional love for all.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Donald, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children; Sharon (Gary) Hutchings; Brian Vogel; Kathy Bixler; Donna Vogel; Paula (Gus) Wilbur: Dan Vogel; Theresa (Terry) Ricks; Mary (Dan) Thomas; Matt (Michelle) Vogel; Mike (Allison) Vogel; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 790 26 1/2 Rd., Grand Junction, CO, on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to HopeWest, 3090B N 12th St, Grand Junction, CO 81506.
