Adelyn's mom Myrtle and my dad Orey were siblings making  Adelyn and me cousins.  However, I never had the pleasure of actually meeting her or JoAnn.  Fortunately we were able to "meet" via phone calls, notes and messages that we shared over the years.  I was deeply saddened to learn of JoAnn's passing.  May the many happy memories the family has of her help to comfort  in this difficult time.  My thoughts and prayers are with Adelyn and the family.  

I am Arlys' cousin. My mom, Mavis, was your grandma Adelyn's sister.  I haven't seen Arlys in many years...the last time being at the Minneapolis airport when I met her for lunch when she had a layover. I still remember how fun it was to see her and catch up on things.  When she moved to Sulphur we reconnected through phone calls and email.  I will miss her. Please know that I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

When Arlys was little I was ironing some clothes then I had to do something and stepped away for just a second and Arlys decided she had something she had iron and was ironing way as fast as she could and stuck the iron between her thumb and index finger and burned her real bad she cried I had to console her later on a little girl down the street had better in the hand on the spot but was just now healing I went over and talk with the mother and she didn’t seem too concerned however Mr. Winkler came over and apologized and said he was very sorry for his little girl sanctions  oh what a time in my life

My sister taught me how to tie my shoes when I was about 3 years old. 
I remember that day just as if it were yesterday.
