Tim Reinhardt, or as many of us knew him- Papa Red Beard, passed away in his sleep the morning of February 18th. He was undoubtedly dreaming of Dale Earnhardt’s 1998 Daytona 500 victory, or maybe that special waitress (you know who you are). Tim spent his life in service to others- starting with his time in the US Navy, as a firefighter with the Beecher fire department, and as a first responder with General Towing. After a massive heart attack forced him into an early retirement, Tim continued being the go-to guy for so many people, whether you needed a ride, a helping hand, or somebody to dog-sit, Tim was your man. Tim was a protector by nature, and that was not limited to those related by blood. He and his wife, Susan, opened up their home to many people who needed it over the years, creating their own unique family to surround themselves with. Tim loved his yorkie, Peanut, golfing with his brothers, and Diet Pepsi. He loved Nascar, rye whiskey and going out to breakfast. He hated fruit cocktail, rice, and waiting in line.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, and his father, Bob Reinhardt. He is survived by his mother, Darlene, his children- Ben (Rachel) Reinhardt, Amanda Reinhardt, Matthew Ashlock, Sara (Rick) Standen, Nicole (Duane) Dunckel, Amanda Rhoades, and Melanie (Tim) Bednarski; His grandchildren, Guinness Dunckel, Zachary Frapier, Calvin Adams, and Jake, Josh, John, and Jason Bednarski; His siblings Kipp (Cindy) Reinhardt, David (Debbie) Reinhardt, and Dana (Bonnie) Reinhardt and many others he was proud to call family.
A visitation for Tim will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Tim will be interred with military honors at Crestwood Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI.
In honor of Tim’s dedication to his wife, Susan, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Fond memories and condolences may be offered to the family via the online guestbook at www.BrownFH.com for the Reinhardt family.
