ALEXANDER, Terry Glenn – age 68 of Escanaba, MI (Formerly of Flint, MI) passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 4PM-8PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11AM at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Rd. Grand Blanc, MI with one hour of visitation prior. Rev. Dr. Jay Gantz officiating. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Terry was born in Flint, MI on August 17, 1947 to the late Glenn A. and Shirley (Oliver) Alexander. He grew up in Genesee, MI. Terry joined the United States Army in 1966 and served 14 months in Viet Nam. He was employed with Oliver Services. Then in 1994, he opened and operated American Personnel Services, Inc. in Saginaw, MI until his retirement in 2007. Terry had been residing in Escanaba until his passing. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He also enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his life partner, Marsha Carlson; children, Terry Alexander Jr., Dawn (Dave) Dixon, Amy (Wayne Kelly) Kennard, and Glenn (April) Alexander; grandchildren, Alex, Jade, Glenn Jr., Haley, Aaliyah, Elizabeth, and Gracie; siblings, Craig Alexander, Shirlene (Todd) Scrima; nephews, Mark (Jessica) Wright and Brett Scrima; niece, Krystin Scrima; stepfather, Clyde Burtoft; and many cousins. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Tommy Bellinger and Tommy Meeks. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Alexander; mother Shirley Burtoft; grandparents, Charles and Edna Oliver; aunts, Margie Alexander and Donna Ball; and uncles, Jim Alexander, Red Alexander, Elmer Alexander, and Charles Oliver Jr. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
