Robert was born November 2, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late Warren and Catherine (Murdock) Ankney. He enjoyed being in the radiant sunshine, fishing and hunting. Robert delighted in riding his bicycle, shopping and spending time with his family. He loved to laugh, and loved to make others laugh even more. Robert will always be remembered for his caring soul and his willingness to help anyone that he could. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Robert was dearly loved and will be missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege to know him.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving nephews Jeffrey (Lindi) Saylor and Jason (Catherine) Saylor of Flint, Michigan; loving niece Shirley Saylor (Trulin Kellar) of Flint, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, sister Wanda (Ankney) Saylor and brother Warren Ankney.
A funeral service will be held at Flint Memorial Park in Mount Morris, Michigan at a later date and time.
