Myrtle Emily Tewell

TEWELL, Myrtle E. – Age 99, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Genesys Health Park. Mrs. Tewell was born June 11, 1913 in Detroit the daughter of Charles and Marguerite Mann. Before moving to Grand Blanc Myrtle enjoyed bowling and singing in the church choir. When she moved to Grand Blanc Myrtle joined Holy Spirit Lutheran Church where she was very active in church activities. They included the retirement group and Bible Study. She was a bookkeeper with Uniroyal for 45 years. Surviving are nephews, Gary (Bobbi) Carless, Donald (Barbara) Carless, niece, Donna (Jack) Martin, great nieces and nephews, Todd (Jodi) Carless, Jeff (Liz) Carless, Lori Carless and her partner Dawn Vreven, Kim (Shane) DeBoer, Donald (Marge) Carless Jr., Sherie (Brad) Smith, special friends, Roy Armbuster and Barbara Schultz. Mrs. Tewell was preceded in death by her husband George Tewell and twin sister Margaret Carless. Friends may visit the family from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 11 to 4 p.m. Monday at Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Will Stenke will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday at Woodlawn in Detroit.
