On Christmas morning, Mary died peacefully surrounded by her loving children and family. Mary was born in Flint, Michigan and was raised by two amazing parents, Ruth and Roger Misener. She proudly attended St. Matt’s High School. Mary was one of three siblings. Her brothers, Rich and Terry, were like her little babies. She loved being a big sister and helping to take care of them as they grew. She was a fun and goofy big sister and they created many fond memories over the years.
Mary was a devoted mother to her three children and taught them many amazing life lessons. Her biggest joy was how all three of them grew up in the wonderful small town of Genesee and that they had families of their own.
Mary loved the outdoors and working in her yard. She loved to ski as part of the Toby Club. A highlight was skiing Europe in her younger years. Everyone enjoyed talking to Mary. People would stop by her home or call her while driving late at night. She happily offered advice and loved to hang pictures of these wonderful friends.
Mary was the best mother and grandma (GraMary) to all of us and we will forever be indebted to her for the life she offered us.
Surviving are brother Rich Reed (Marsha), son David Schulte (Renee), daughters Susan Karsch (Doug) and Lisa Evans (Lawrence) as well as six amazing grandchildren; Nate, Logan, Leyton, Brendan, Kaylie and Alex and great grandchild Jameson, who will miss her dollar store gifts!
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Fred Schulte, parents Roger and Ruth Misener, and brother Terry Misener. Instead of flowers all donations can be given to the Alzheimer Association or the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Mary, Mother, Mom...You will forever be missed, loved, and cherished and always be in our hearts. There’s no lipstick too red and no screwdriver drink too strong for your reunion with cherished family and friends in heaven! A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 3pm with visitation from 11am – 3pm at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
