Mary Francis McDaniel, age 98 passed away on October 12, 2020 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. A private funeral service will be held with interment at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mary was born on January 9, 1922 in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late John M. and Flora L. Galloway. Mary lived in Grand Blanc area since 1926. She married Leroy McDaniel, November 18, 1944 in Grand Blanc. He preceded her in death in December 8, 1981. Mary was a member of Grand Blanc First Baptist Church since 1936. She worked for Robert Baumbach when he opened Palace Jeweler in the Palace Theater building on Kearsley Street in Flint. She also worked for Grand Blanc Community Schools for 21 years. Mary was a member of the Grand Blanc Senior Center since fall of 1984. That is where she took dancing of various kinds. She especially enjoyed clogging with Loretta Ward’s group and she enjoyed the 12 years or she was one of Rotta’s "Million Dollar Babies" chorus line. Mary is survived by her three sons: Andrew L. McDaniel, Joe E (Jan) McDaniel, Jay K. (Lana) McDaniel; two grandsons: Robert A. (Jocelyn) McDaniel and Byung S. (EunJoo) Kim; and three great granddaughters: Kayla, Breana, Dhara. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille McMinn, brothers, Jack Galloway and Thomas L. Galloway.
