Passed by an aerospace museum in Ohio on the way home from a trip and wished you were here to overexplain all the differences between different planes and spacecraft.   Life just isn’t the same without you, Hank. You are remembered and truly missed today.

I used to deliver the mail for just under two years to Doc K. Every time Cookie was outside I would stop and pet her and talk with him. I enjoyed our talks and Cookie was my favorite dog. After I switched to a different route at another office he brought Cookie there to visit with me. Such a great loss. He will be truly missed. 

Doc K always greeted his students with a Smile. Enjoyed having him as my Vibrations Prof at GMI (now Kettering University). His Gentle Spirit and Joyful Countenance was a Source of Comfort and a Welcomed Encounter. God Bless & Comfort his Family in the years to come. Rest in Truly Knowing Doc K touched Many Lives and will Always be a Fond Memory.

Although I did not know Mr.   Kowalski  well I loved  seeing him  relaxing on his porch with his cute doggie when  I walked around the block with my three young daughters.   He was always quick to wave and say hello.    Very  nice man and he will be sorely missed in our neighborhood.   My thoughts And prayers are with his family.     


Throughout most of my time at the University there were two Mr. Ketterings. Hank retired, and the other died. I am so sorry that my friend and mentor has passed. My life will not be the same without Hank/Doc K. He always put students and the University first. He helped make me the man and the professor I am today. His high standards combined with his gentle smile said it all. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the Kowalski family. He will live on in all those he influenced, all they influence and so on. Goodbye my friend and to the family Godspeed.

The world has lost a very special person who had a profound impact on so many throughout his life.   I had the privilege and honor of working with Hank at GMI/ Kettering for many years.  His passion for students and special gifts and talents for helping them learn and grow was an inspiration to all who knew him.  Henry  was always game to try something new and brought creativity and resourcefulness to all tasks.  I have fond memories watching the engineering design competitions in the Great Court, serving midnight breakfasts, and the many times he graciously spent time with prospective students and parents.  Sincerest condolences.  RIP good and faithful servant.  Thanks for sharing so much of yourself.

While I did not have the honor or knowing Dr. K long, my short time was indeed special. He was always a bright spot in any day and when he came on campus with his little pup, was always smiling and happy.  He was so supportive of Kettering, our students and our Mission and he will be long remembered for his push on Robotics.
May your family know how special he was to us and how much he was truly appreciated by everyone here at Kettering. Thanks for sharing him with us.

Hank was our fraternity house advisor when I attended GMI. He was also one of my instructors in Engineering Mechanics. Hank was very patient with a bunch of out of control college guys. He was always there if we needed him. As a professor, he did a great job of getting the material across and was very fair in his grading. I thoroughly enjoyed having Hank as one of my instructors and I used his teachings constantly throughout my career. I know he'll be missed.
