Corine D. Estes

Corine Ecker-Estes, age 80, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017. Corine was born in Flint on May 12, 1937, the daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Dennis) Ecker. She served in the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) from 1953-1955. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1955. Corine married the late Lewis Estes, Jr. on April 19, 1960. They had two children, Cory and Renee. After raising her children she graduated from Mott Community College in 1988 and went to work for Flint Schools where she retired in July of 2003. She was active in the local Eagles and Moose clubs and continued to serve her community. Corine is survived by her children: Cory Estes, Renee (Larry) Freeman; grandchildren: James (Carla) Cowan, Adam Cowan, Lacey Earley, Katlynn Cowan, Tyler Estes, and Benjamin Cowan; eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 11am – 8pm, and again on Saturday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
