Carlos “Carl”, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2018. He was survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara A. Seijas; children, Sheila D. (William) Otero and Christopher M. (Tracey) Little; step-daughters, Laura M. Tobias and Martha I. Seijas; grandchildren, Jennifer M. Black, Michelle C. (Jose) Garza, Jaime N. (Jonathan) Davis, and Lauren Y. (Brian) Vosicky; step-granddaughter, Rose E. Tobias; great grandchildren, Sebastion, Tyler, Nathan, Benjamin, Natalie, Jack, and Charlotte; and youngest sister, Vanessa Swetnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Can and Lula Little; eldest sister, Hassie Hopkins; wife of 21 years, Yvonne Little; and youngest child, Lisa M. Little.
Carl was born on May 29, 1929 (legally, June 15th) in Wheelwright, KY. He was a graduate of Floyd County High School (1948) and Pikeville College (1950) in Kentucky. He taught elementary school briefly, served in the U.S. Army, and later worked as a construction manager for Davanay Plumbing & Heating in Flint, MI.
Carl was a wonderful provider and will be remembered for his absolute devotion to family. Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
