Virginia Marie Caldwell, 92, of Fleming, Ohio, died Thursday, August 27, 2015, in Fleming. She was born March 22, 1923 in Litchfield, IL to John Henry and Marie Neal Isley. Virginia had attended a one room school in Illinois, called Bell School. She and her husband owned and operated Caldwell Oil Equipment Company from 1952 to 1977. Virginia had been involved in Eastern Star and Belpre Senior Citizens and had attended Friendship Ridge Church. She was an avid sewer and loved to make clothing for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, taking cruises, and traveling throughout the United States and the world. While living in Florida, she was a member of the Ocoee Oaks Mall Walkers. Virginia is survived by her children; Lynda Kerr of Clermont, FL, Jim R. Caldwell (Mary Jane) of Mountain View, AK and Jerry L. Caldwell (Ginny) of Fleming, OH; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Caldwell in 2004; they had been married on October 27, 1941; also preceded by a grandson, Christopher Elliot. Family will receive friends at 9 am Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home with Funeral services at 10 am. Pastor David Ellenwood will conduct the service.
