Vicki Drummond, hat collector, photographer, missionary, sister, and traveller, was born in Litchfield, IL to Hugh and Lilian Drummond and raised in Gillespie, IL. She graduated high school in 1969 and attended Blackburn College, Lincoln Christian College, and graduated with her Master’s from Lincoln Christian Seminary. She devoted her life in service to God as a pioneer in the deaf ministry community. When she wasn’t teaching, she was an adventurer. She enjoyed trying new and local cuisines everywhere she visited (more than 20 countries), capturing the local sights via camera, and even went as far as to ride camels and elephants! Vicki’s life was service-driven, and she will be missed by the thousands whom she impacted. None more so than her sister, Debbie, whom she worked and lived with for more than 53 years before she retired in 2018. Her life truly was a celebration and a tribute to God’s love, and I’m sure she is continuing that celebration in Heaven.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at First Christian Church in Gillespie, IL on July 13, 2024 at 11am.
