The son of Ernie and Betty Jo (Bumby) Wraschek, Rick was born and raised in FL. Rick moved with his family during his teens to live in Germany and Switzerland but came back to spend his adult life near his extended family in Orlando. He always kept a place in his heart for Europe and good 'ole Swiss quality.
Rick was a kind-hearted, gentle soul, who was caring and generous. He could talk with anyone and make friends easily. Rick was a thinker and philosopher with a passion for reading. He studied politics and always kept up on the latest news. Rick was an excellent skier (learned amongst the Alps), an avid sports fan (always bantering with his brother on which teams would win) and enjoyed biking, tennis, and swimming in his leisure. He had an appreciation for the arts, music, and theater.
Rick is survived by his close family, older brother Michael Wraschek and partner Mary Renuart, Veronica Joubert, as well as a big group of cousins.
We send Rick off on his next journey to reunite with his mother and father, and are comforted to know he is with them and now at peace.
Services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11am at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734
