Richard Anthony Senior January 17th - November 1st 2018
Friends, Family and well wishers, It is an honor and privilege for me to pay tribute to my brother as I represent my family at this most difficult time. My name is Peaches Morgan, I am Richard's only biological sister although he had many adopted sisters in his life. As I searched for words to express my thoughts about my brother, I remembered the many roles he played throughout his life, first and foremost he was a dedicated family man, a devoted husband, father, son, uncle, cousin, nephew, brother, and friend. Rich was a mama's boy when we were younger in our party days, he would stay home with mom because he didn’t want to leave her at home alone.
He was a comfort to her when she lost her honey, when I moved to Georgia I had no worries because Rich was there to take care of mom. He was his happiest when he was surrounded by family, his devotion was the foundation of his actions, the anchor that defined and shaped his life. Richard was a great friend to everyone in and around his circle, whether the need was to advise, and empathetic ear, a shoulder to lean on, or just being a listener. He lived a principled life underpinned by a strong sense of right and wrong, his integrity was unmatched and his loyalty was guaranteed.
He respected and honored his wife and taught his children that nothing can be gained from holding a grudge or leaving any issues that was wrong uncleared, he never let anything or anyone stand in the way of making things right, I can only imagine how much more he could have accomplished in his life were it not be for his illness. A quiet and humble spirit, he was patient, kind and compassionate toward others. Rich was a Senior Systems Analyst at Philips corporation, As he traveled nationally and internationally for his company he developed a passion for the culinary arts of many cultures, he would cook for us the most delicious meals his meatballs had over 20 different ingredients and would melt in our mouths, his lasagna was like no other he had become a true foodie and we benefited greatly.
Rich's favorite sport was golf he played when he was well and when he was no longer able to play he would watch, his favorite channels were the golf channel and the food channel. In all his passions and love his most important and most passionate was his love for Christ and his study of the WORD, he led our bible study and worship at home every Sunday even while lying in bed and sometimes in pain he would interpret the scriptures and we would discuss it as a family. Oh what a friend he had in Jesus. He was a true example of a Christian, a great man of God who led by the way he lived. This is not goodbye, see you later my brother, my love my best friend. The wonderful memories we shared will live on forever until we meet again.
Rich left behind his loving mother Mahalia Shaw Lynch, his wife Mayvelin Feliz de Senior, six children his oldest, Joshua Johnson Senior, Ali Jameoroli Senior Garcia, Dackjerlin O Senior Feliz, Rickjerlin Stewart Senior Feliz, Sarah Mahalia Senior Feliz, Raylin Jose Senior Feliz, Sister Peaches J Morgan, Brothers Kensley Hugh Senior, Kevin Adanny Senior, and one grandson Carson Johnson Senior Jr and a host of cousins, Aunts, and friends.
