Martha Pryor

Martha Curtis Ward Pryor, 93, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015. She was born in Newport, Ohio February 26, 1922 to Lorenzo Ward and Lora Shepherd Ward. She was the youngest of 8 children born to Ren and Lora Ward. Four sisters, Ruth, Berna, Helen, Fern and 3 brothers Bob, Beryl and Dude all preceded her in death. When her family lived in Bens Run, W. Va. She attended Sistersville, W. Va. High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart George Pryor on July 5, 1941. After their 6 children were born and several moves due to WWII Navy, College at Wake Forest and jobs, they settled in Orlando, Florida in 1963. She had a full and blessed life raising her daughter and five sons, always helping with all her 15 grandchildren and being part of her 11 great grandchildren lives. After 65 years of marriage on July 5, 2006 her beloved George died on July 6. Also preceding her in death were her son Robert Kim and grandson Andy Pryor. Surviving family are her daughter, Lora (Penny) Goode and husband Charlie; sons and wives, Mike & Elaine, Jeff & Teri, Greg & Michelle, Perry & Cheryl and Kim’s wife, Sandy; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be private.
