IRENE MAUD BRADLEY-WALLACE WAS BORN IN TRELAWNY JAMAICA TO LOVING PARENT EGBERT BRADLEY & ROSIE STEPHENSON. SHE GREW UP IN PORTLAND JAMAICA WHERE SHE WAS AN ASTUTE STUDENT AND EXCELL IN ALL AREAS OF STUDIES. IRENE GAVE BIRTH TO HER FIRST CHILD, LLOYD SUTTON AND WENT ON TO MARRY MR. VINCENT WALLACE. THAT UNION PRODUCED 9 CHILDREN. IRENE, AS SHE WAS AFFECTIONATELY CALLED BY HER FRIENDS, BEGAN HER WALK WITH THE LORD WHEN SHE ACCEPTED HIM AT A CRUSADE IN HERE HOME TOWN BAPTIST CHURCH AS A YOUNG LADY AND HAS NEVER LOOKED BACK. HER LIFES GOAL WAS DEDICATED TO HELPING HER FAMILY ACCEPT CHRIST AS THEIR LORD AND SAVIOR. SHE WAS A LOVING WIFE AND A PROVIDER FOR HER FAMILY BUT HER LOVE AND SERVICE TO GOD WAS A TESTIMENT TO HER LIFE.
MRS. WALLACE WAS ALWAYS A MOTHER FIRST. SHE GAVE HER ENTIRE LIFT TO NURTURING AND CARING FOR HER FAMILY. HER HUSBAND A FORMER BOXER, TURNED FAMILY MAN, WORKED FOR THE JAMAICA BANANA GROWERS ASSOCIATION UNTIL HIS RETIREMENT IN 1984. WITH MOST OF HER CHILDREN GROWN UP AND MIGRATED TO THE USA, MRS WALLACE TRAVELLED TO THE UNITED STATES TO ASSIST IN RAISING HER GRAND CHILDREN. SHE LOST HER HUSBAND IN THE SUMMER OF 1988. IT WAS THEN THAT HER SON TEXUS WALLACE DECIDED TO RELOCATE HER TO PERMANENTLY LIVE WITH HIM IN ALABAMA. MRS WALLACE SPENT MANY YEARS OF ACTIVE FAMILY LIFE WITH HER SON AND MOVED ON TO ORLANDO IN 1994. SHE HAS BEEN THE MATRIARCH TO 3 DECADES OF FAMILY REUNION. HER MOST JOYOUS MOMENTS ARE AT THE FAMILY REUNIONS AND OF COURSE HER ANNUAL BIRTHDAY PARTIES. HER FAVOURITE SAYING IS, “I AM WONDERFULLY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED”
MRS. IRENE WALLACE BECAME AN ACTIVE SERVANT IN HER CHURCH COMMUNITY AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE WHERE SHE VOLUNTEERED IN CHILDRENS HOME AND SENIOR CITIZENS HOME. SHE LIVED FOR HER OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE. EACH TIME THE FAMILY TALKED TO HER, SHE WAS ALWAYS BURSTING AT THE SEAMS WITH HER EXUBERANCE IN TELLING ABOUT HER DAILY ACTIVITIES. SHE WAS VERY UNSELFISH WITH HER TIME. MRS WALLACE HAS BEEN HONORED AND HAS BEEN GIVEN NUMEROUS AWARDS FOR VOLUNTEERING HER TIME IN SERVICE ALL OVER ORLANDO.
MRS WALLACE WAS CARED FOR BY HER DEVOTED CHILDREN IN THE WINTER OF HER LIFE. SHE LIVED IN A FAMILY SETTING CLOSELY GUARDED BY GRAND CHILDREN AND HER SONS & DAUGHTERS. MRS. WALLACE BELIEVED IN KEEPING IN TOUCH AND IN HELPING THE YOUTHS IN HER LIFE. SHE SAID GOOD BYE TO A LOVING AND DEVOTED FAMILY WHO HAS TURNED OUT TODAY TO PARTICIPATE IN HER HOME GOING. OUR FAMILY GRIEVES ONLY FOR OUR LOST BUT OUR LOST IS THE MASTER’S GAIN. “THANK YOU LORD FOR THE MANY WONDERFUL YEARS YOU HAVE GIVEN HER TO US” WE FELT UNWORTHY OF SUCH A WORTHY VESSEL MADE ONLY BY YOUR HANDS”.
