Helena is survived by her sisters, Rita Marilene Barreto De Souza, Maria Helena Barreto de Souza, Sônia C. Barreto de Souza; children, Forrest Jr., Clifford, & Sarah. Grandchildren, Caitlyn, Catharine, Clifford Jr., Ameir El Ouadi, Jordan El Ouadi.
She was preceded in death by husband, Forrest Haymond Cox, and brother Edilberto De Souza.
Helena loved gardening, growing flowers, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed a brief career of seamstress with Dan River Mills in Danville, Virginia, once her children were grown, and enjoyed her retirement in Ocoee, FL, helping raise her five grandchildren.
The family has entrusted Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home with the arrangements. The Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2pm on November 2, 2024, at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
