Charlotte Diana Eros Duncanson, 53, of Orlando, passed away October 20, 2011, following a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born September 23, 1958, in Anniston, AL, to Charlotte Farmer Eros and John Wetherell Eros. After earning her degree in Industrial Engineering at Southern Polytechnic Institute in her hometown of Marietta, GA, she worked for eight years as an engineer for Southern Bell in Florida. Following a move to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina she became the Assistant Operations Manager for C&S Bank. After working part-time jobs while raising her two children for ten years, she was most recently the bookkeeper at Holy Family Catholic Church for the last seven years. She was the consummate wife and mother, raising her two children with total love and devotion. She loved horses, sewing, cooking and caring for her family, reading, and socializing with her many friends. She especially loved spending time at the beach. She was a kind, loving and honest soul, always intent on doing right by others. A faithful servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ, she generously volunteered her time and talents wherever it was needed, including mentoring her church's high school youth group activities, as well as being involved with her children's many sports teams and activities. She possessed a great sense of humor, as well as genuine caring and connection to those whom she served. She was loved by all and had a great gift of friendship.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, godmother and friend. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Robert Reginald Eros and her father, John W. Eros. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Donald M. Duncanson, Jr.; son Andrew Wetherell Duncanson; daughter Kathleen Claire Duncanson; mother Charlotte Gabrielle Farmer Eros; sisters Mary Elizabeth Eros (Pyron); Gabrielle Eros (Disser); Margaret Lucinda Eros (Harmon); brother John Wetherell Eros, Jr.; uncle Dr. Thorwald Eros, Jr.; many cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, 18 nieces and nephews and five godchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday October 23, 2011, at Holy Family Catholic Church from 6:30 -9:30pm, which will include a rosary service . A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, October 24, at 3:30 pm., followed by a celebration of her life.
