Dear Kathy and the Leidman family:

Our deepest condolences and prayers are with you at this difficult time.   Dan was always a big help and very involved in our community. 

Kathy, Laura, Donna, Mark, Lily and Abby,

Please be assured of my prayers for you and for the repose of Dan. He was such a great man, and I enjoyed visiting with him (and Kathy) over the past 7 years. 

He certainly loved each one of you, and enjoyed talking about family. 

While his passing leaves us in sorrow, we also know that for God's faithful, "life is changed, not ended" and that we will indeed be reunited with him and with Christ Jesus. 

Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful rest in peace. Amen.

What a huge loss to all of us! I will always remember Dan’s kindness, commitment to his neighbors, diligence, willingness to do difficult things to benefit all of us and most of all his unconditional acceptance of everyone without judgement! He was a bright light and gentleman! Please know he made a difference! My deepest condolences!

Kathy, My thoughts are with you. Dan will be so missed here in Avalon. He was the first neighbor to reach out when I first moved to the community - that’s likely true for most, if not all of us in the neighborhood! Dan exemplified what it means to be a good neighbor - making so many of us feel so welcome.

I will always cherish the times Dan got involved in the social events in our community, like here on Halloween.  The theme was witches night and Dan and Kathy where there to help again, he said what do I wear, I told him Merlin or be a warlock,  he decided Orange will do. He was 
always such a sport and so eager to 
help. Gosh I will miss you Dan

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!    Dan was always so kind and welcoming to Bill and me.   I never will forget him telling me that he wanted to retire near Disney the first time I met him.  Well, he DID!   Dan's love for each of you was also very evident in every conversation that we had.  He was so proud of you Laura and Donna!   One thing I want to share. When Bill and I visited in April,  Dan took me out to the garage to show me his SUV.   I commented that I really loved the color.  Dan told me it is Blue Denim.   And he shared that he LOVED that car.   I wish you could have seen his eyes shine when he told me that how special it was.  I hope it can stay in your family.  He said he developed real bonds with his vehicles.   Another memory I have is Dan sharing how Levi got his name from a favorite TV show!  He was so easy for me to talk to.  I will miss him! Dan was a very kind and amiable man. In the few years that we had the privilege of knowing him, he always extended a helping hand and was quick to offer advice and referrals for any situation. He was a “ fund of knowledge “! Any information that he provided , to me or anyone, was always backed up with his Folder of Facts in his hand. Dan and Kathy were inseparable! Their love for each other transcended in everything that they did. Kathy, you and Dan shared a wonderful friendship and life together. We can all take a page from your book.
