James William Muck, age 74 of Goodyear, AZ died April 22, 2019, in Goodyear, AZ. He was born August 17, 1944, in Battle Creek, MI to William Jack and June Marie Muck. James worked as the superintendent of streets for Pleasanton, CA. He was the president of the sister city program which allowed him to become a friend of the people of Tulancingo, Mexico. He would often spend weeks in Tulancingo, working and volunteering for the Asilo de San Jose Orphanage. He had a great love for the people and would do what he could through gifts and donations to make their lives better.
James loved his life in Goodyear. He enjoyed all of his friends in PebbleCreek, especially the Bogey Boys. He enjoyed golfing 3-4 days a week. He loved playing basketball, bowling, and was proud to have bowled a perfect game!
James was the best brother you could have. He was thoughtful, supportive and kind in all that he did. He is survived by his sisters, Judy L. Stan, and Jacquelene M. Chaney; stepdaughters, Brianne Stearns, and Rosa Aurora; stepson, Kory Stearns; three grandchildren Madisyn Stearns, Tanner Stearns, and Aleck Tomlinson Ocadiz; nieces, Penny Himes, Kimberly Chaney, Corrie Stan; nephews, Jon Chaney, Darin Stan; cousin Joni Hanson; his dear friend, Bev Heron; and many more family and friends here in the United States, Mexico, and Australia. Most importantly he is survived by his beloved “Minnie,” his dachshund.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 21, 2019, in the Chianti Room of the Tuscany Falls Club House in PebbleCreek, Goodyear, AZ. The family suggests that donations be made to Asilo de San Jose Orphanage in Tulancingo, Mexico.
