Sylvia Burnell

Sylvia married her high school sweetheart, Buck, while attending Kansas State Teachers College. She completed her degree in Fine Arts while raising her two boys. Sylvia followed her dream and became an Art teacher. In 1979, she and her husband moved to Arizona and opened their business, Realty Place. However, her true passion was spending time with her 4 grandchildren. Sylvia’s infectious smile and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, O.C. “Buck” Burnell; sons, Robert (Susan) Burnell, Brad (Adrianne) Burnell; sister, Carol Thomas; brothers, Rodney Houser, Ronald Houser, Donald Houser, Gordon Houser; and 4 grandchildren, Ryan Burnell, Taylor Burnell, Cassaundra Burnell and Alexandra Burnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mildred Houser; and her sister, Karen Lowry.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 at The Church at Litchfield Park, 300 N. Old Litchfield Rd, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340. Burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
