Sonya Flores, 51, of Waddell, AZ died October 6, 2015. She was born on October 7, 1963 in Phoenix, AZ to Maria Flores-Bandin. Sonya enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics as a member of the Gecko’s bowling team. She is survived by her sisters, Petra Martinez, Delia Arce, Guadalupe Ortega, Rosemary Ramirez, Patricia Flores and her brothers, Andrew Bandin, Oscar Bandin, Johnny Bandin, Herman Bandin, Pedro Bandin and Jose Bandin.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 – 9:30 am with a funeral service to immediately follow on Friday, October 9, 2015 at West Valley Assembly of God, 1781 N. Central Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Interment will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301.
