Ray was the youngest of 5 children born to Tilford and Mary (Price) Larson in Solomonville, AZ on February 16, 1932. He had a childhood full of happiness and adventure on the family farm. He was an engineering student at the University of Arizona when he met his sweetheart, and the two were married on April 7, 1955, in the Mesa, Arizona Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ray always told his children how much he loved their mother and how lucky he was to have her.
Ray loved his family unconditionally and found his greatest joy in spending time with them. This love was reciprocated by all of his posterity. Beyond the love for his family, he was also a great example of readily showing compassion and helping those less fortunate. Another highlight in Ray’s life was watching University of Arizona sports. He was a die-hard fan and for many decades rarely missed a game.
One of Ray’s most remarkable traits was his keen intelligence which constantly amazed his family and those who knew him.
