Jan was an adventurous and hardworking soul, working all over the world in places like Curacao and theCaribbeanIslands. He settled down in Southern California, working as a master craftsman machinist. After enjoying a few years of retirement inCalifornia, Jan and his wife Joana relocated toArizonain 2000.

Jan was a loving husband and father.  He enjoyed good jokes, dancing, had a contagious laugh, and loved to travel, visiting family and friends all over the world. He will be greatly missed by all!

Jan is survived by his wife, Joana; one son Gerrit Jan; three step-children Henriette White, Irene Phillips, and Stan Outman; one daughter-in-law Lisa; eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife Gerri and son Remi.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 8th at Thompson Funeral Chapel,926 S. Litchfield Rd. inGoodyear,Ariz.
