Marcella Marie Wing

Marcella Marie Wing, affectionately known as Mar, passed away peacefully at home in Buckeye, AZ, on Thursday, December 5, 2024. She was born on June 8, 1931, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Mar married her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life, the late Kenneth C. Wing, on July 29, 1950. Mar and Ken moved to the Detroit metropolitan area in Michigan in 1957, where they lived and raised their family until she moved to Arizona in 2020 to be closer to her daughters.

Mar was a full-time homemaker. It brought her joy to raise her family, spend time with friends, garden, do DIY projects, craft, host cookie exchanges, and bowl with her women's league. As a breast cancer survivor, Mar organized and led a group of friends in a yearly fundraising event for the Susan G. Komen Foundation at her local bowling center. Mar was known for her warmth, support, strength, and unconditional love, all of which will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Mar was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ken; her son, James (Angela); her sisters, Esther Pepper (Richard) and Pauline Robinet; her brother, Norman Robinet (Mary); and her parents, Adolph and Edna Robinet.

Mar is survived by her daughters, Donna (Stephen) Gray and Brenda Dickhart; her son, John (Aileen) Wing; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Glenn) Edgerton, Christopher (Sarah) Gray, Patrick (Amber) Gray, Mark (Michelle) Drake, Brian (Stacy) Deckhart, and Theresa (Bryan) Gardner; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Joyce Wing; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

The immediate family will gather in Michigan for the interment of her ashes sometime in 2025.
