Matthew Lionel Miranda

Matthew Lionel Miranda was born May 20, 1988 and passed away December 27, 2020. Matthew was the son of Calistra J. Flores and Michael Miranda. He was brother to Michael Jr., Gabriel and Daniel Ray Miranda. He had two sisters-in-law, Lisa and Elicia Miranda. He had nine nephews and six nieces, who he loved dearly. We called him “Matt” for short.

He graduated from Peoria High School. He was Assistant Coach for the football team and he loved being involved in any way. Matthew loved everyone. Matthew loved his family and friends most. No matter what obstacles came into his life, he overcame them with a smile. He could accomplish anything in his life.

He was a fighter and his faith was strong in God. He always made an effort to attend church with his Nana Priscilla. Why? Because he was a miracle himself when God blessed him with thirty-two years with his family. After church he loved watching his favorite team play, the Arizona Cardinals. His favorite superhero was Superman. He was super tough when it came to going in and out of the hospital. Matthew never gave up.

Here’s something you should know about Matthew. He loved listening to Elvis Presley and country music. He would be up late at night listening to music and writing poetry or coloring. While he was doing that, he always stopped to think about people he loved. That was his family and friends. Matthew always kept in touch with everyone. He will truly be missed forever in our hearts. It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.

Matthew’s service is February 5, 2021 from 6:00-9:00PM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, Goodyear, Arizona.
