Barbara Lee Arellanes

Barbara Lee Arellanes, age 70, passed away on April 19, 2019, in Goodyear, Arizona. Barbara is survived by her daughters Stephanie Blackhoop, Annette Becerra (spouse, Eddie Becerra); her sister Beverly Newkirk; her grandchildren Camry Becerra, Celica Blackhoop, Erick Becerra, and Cienna Blackhoop; and her beloved furbabies Kardashian and Kendall. She is preceded in death by her son Robbie Graham, and her parents Robert and Mattie Wilson.

Barbara was born on November 14, 1948, in Fontana, California and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Barbara was a social butterfly and could get even the quietest of people talking to her within moments of meeting her. She was straightforward and would undoubtedly tell you what was on her mind (even if it wasn’t the kindest or we didn’t want to hear it!). Barbara had a fantastically morbid and often inappropriate sense of humor that she so graciously passed down to her children and grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed keeping up with current world events and Hollywood news but most of all enjoyed Keeping up with the Kardashians both literally and figuratively. She enjoyed keeping up with the family so much that her prized and treasured dogs were named with the Kardashian/Jenner family in mind. Barbara enjoyed home decorating and home decor shopping. Barbara spent many years as a caregiver in the Phoenix area and retired from this career after devoting many years to helping her patients and their families.

Barbara’s family and friends will remember her always and will lovingly recall the treasured and often entertaining moments shared with her.

A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Thompson Funeral Chapel located at 926 S. Litchfield Rd. Goodyear, AZ 85338. Pastor Don Moenich will officiate. All are welcome to attend and help the family celebrate Barbara’s life.
