Donald, known as Randy or Popo, grew up in Aiden, North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army for 26 years. He served in the First Calvary Division as a Sargent in Vietnam. While stationed in Okinawa, Japan with the Army, he met his wife of 53 years, Noriko Yoji. Together, they had three children: Laura, Randy, and Don. He worked for 25 years at APS Palo Verde Nuclear Plant until he retired. Don pastored a small church in downtown Phoenix for 10 years. He had a heart to serve Jesus. He ran a non-profit for 20 years, Mission House Ministries, where he cared for the homeless and shared the gospel with many. He was quick to pray for anyone, including his family.
Don is survived by his daughters Laura (Jason) Fralix and Carrine Langley, son Donald Randy (Donna) Langley, Jr., 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Noriko Langley and son Edward Don Langley.
Burial took place at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Wednesday, January 11
