Ray Lane age 66, passed away on December 20th 2021. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. A wise man and problem solver, always willing to learn and teach. Ray was always willing to help anyone in need, no matter how he was feeling.
Ray enjoyed traveling and riding his Harley Davidson. In his free time he enjoyed watching movies, playing with his dog Loki and spending time with his wife Loretta.
Ray grew up in the small town of Canon City, Colorado, graduating from Canon City High School in 1973. In his early years he was very athletic and played many sports such as: football, wrestling and swimming. He loved muscle cars, dirt bikes and horses.
Ray’s first passion was to become a diesel mechanic, having completed a degree in diesel mechanics from Wyoming Technical Institute, a skill which serviced him well over the years. Later in life he changed his career path and got an associates degree in IT. After a long career of 27 years in the IT field, he retired as a Unix Systems Administrator with Pulte homes in Phoenix, AZ. After retirement, Ray and his wife began full time RV’ing and visited 12 states in 4 months.
Ray was married to Loretta for 31 years, together they had 2 daughters, Stacy and Lindsey. Loretta brought 2 sons into the marriage, Charles and Jeffery and altogether, gave them 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Charline Lane and is survived by his wife, daughters, step sons, grandchildren and his brother Chuck of Canon City.
Ray was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Ray will be deeply missed by his family, friends and anyone that new him. He has had a great impact on many peoples lives and will be deeply missed by many.
