Joanne Gaillard Eaglin

Joanne is survived by her children, Kathy (Kent), Mark (Cheryl), Mel (Jeannette), Lynne, Jo (Kerry); 13 grandchildren ; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, David. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Annabel Johns; brother, Harvey Johns (Betty); first husband, Woody Gaillard; and second husband, Mike Eaglin.

Joanne was born on November 16, 1932 in Ashtabula County, Ohio. She moved to Arizona with her family as a teenager and attended Litchfield High School in Litchfield Park, Arizona. Shortly after high school she married Rev. Woody Gaillard whom she followed in his career to Oregon and California until his untimely death in 1969. She returned to Arizona and went to work for Valley National Bank until her retirement. In 1981 she married Mike Eaglin until his death in March of 2012. Joanne was active in Soroptimist and served on the Agua Fria Union High School District Board, was a member of the United Methodist Church of Avondale and The Church at Arrowhead, Glendale.

A viewing will be held at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am, Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ. Interment will be private at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
