Cayetano Ramirez was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who was a long time resident of Avondale. He worked for Maricopa County Parks and recreations for 27 years. After retiring , he loved doing home projects and spending time with his family. He had a passion for helping others, if it was picking up a prescription, delivering food, or paying a visit to his friends, he would do it, never expecting anything in return.
His wisdom was wise to all, not only his children. He believed you should always save a dollar for tomorrow, you just never know when you will need it, never go over the speed limit, and never miss a Monday or Friday from work. He believed when taking care of business, it is better to do it in person, never do it over the phone. One of his most important beliefs that he lived by was “ahora por ellos y manaña por nosotros,” he believed you should always help someone in need, because you never know when you will need help. A man who lived a simple life and who was very humble, kind, and passionate about life will always be remembered by his giving heart.
Cayetano is survived by his daughters; Barbara Torres, Donna Conde, Brenda Baca, and Irma Ramirez, his sons; Guy C. Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, Martin Ramirez, and Alfredo Ramirez, and his sister; Ventura Ramirez, his brother; Rosalio Ramirez. He is also survived by his twenty-nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A Rosary is scheduled for 10:00AM on Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Goodyear, Arizona with a Funeral Mass to follow. Burial services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Avondale, Arizona after the Mass in precession.
