William Houston Baskette, age 94, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He was born Thursday, January 15, 1925 in Nashville, Tennessee and is preceded in death by his parents, William M. and Helen Blanche Stevens Baskette; wife Mildred Baskette.
A WWII veteran of the US Navy, member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church and retired from Ford Glass as a Lear Operator; he is survived by is wife, Mildred "Millie" J. Baskette; daughter, April Gates; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 Friday, May 3, 2019 in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
