She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ernest Williams; parents, Odell and Myrtle (Isham) Carney; brother and his wife, Norman and Glennice Carney.
She had a special group of friends from high school, and they were known as the “Golden Girls.” They enjoyed traveling, eating, and playing games. She cherished her family and the life that she was blessed with. She was a member of the City Road Chapel United Methodist Church.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Dianne Morris (Charlie); sons, Ronald Williams (Debbie), David Williams (Kathy), and Mark Williams (Susan); grandchildren, Greg Morris (Paula), Steve Morris, Amy Yunker (Brad), Nicole Sauer (Matt), Jennifer Meadows (Jason), Kristen Williams, Michael Williams (Regina), Jill Holiday, Jeremy Williams (Laurie); 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; sister, Gayle Mayo (Raymon). She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends for Shirley will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. Following the gathering of family and friends will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
Pallbearers will be Greg Morris, Steve Morris, Michael Williams, Jeremy Williams, Brad Yunker, and Matt Sauer.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the City Road Chapel United Methodist Church.
