A graduate of Isaac Litton where she was captain of the cheerleaders and one who enjoyed dancing and singing; she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Tippie Kenneth Burroughs; children, Michael K. (Jan) Burroughs, Sr., Lori (Dick) Moore; grandchildren, Michael (Krista) Burroughs, Jr., John C. (Shala) Burroughs, Shannon Watson; four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Madeleine, Lauren and Biranna.
A celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 Saturday, July 2, 2016 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Chaplain Lance Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Service as pallbearers will be Michael Burroughs, Jr., Chad Burroughs, Brad Burroughs, Carter Howard, Nicholas Burroughs and Randy Chance.
Family and friends will gather to honor Mrs. Burroughs at a visitation before the service from 12:00 until 2:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road Goodlettsville, TN 37072
