In April of 1953, she married the love of her life, Joe Patterson. Together they raised four children in Goodlettsville, TN, where Joe and Mary Anne have lived 56 years. They loved each other through the good times and the tough times because that is what families do. Mary Anne was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Goodlettsville for over fifty years. She served as a School Patrol Mother for many years at Goodlettsville Elementary School. She cooked with the Meals on Wheels ministry for many years and was blessed to be a recipient of that same ministry for the last months of her life. She is leaving a legacy of kindness, laughter and joy for all who have been blessed to have been a part of her life.
Mary Anne is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joe Patterson; four children Michael Patterson (Donna) of Tulsa, OK; Rick Patterson (Kim) and Todd Patterson (Michelle) both of White House, TN; and Jennifer Graves (Jimmy) of Jackson, TN. She is also survived by two sisters Patsy Carter and Jeannette Elliot and one sister-in-law Lucy Lamberth all of Portland, TN; eight grandchildren: Julie Forrest and Chris Patterson (Tulsa), Justin Patterson, Faith Patterson-Johns, Kellen Patterson, Josh and Elizabeth Graves (Memphis) and Anthony Patterson; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who lovingly called her PAunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents Anna Lou and Floyd Lamberth; two great-grandsons Sam and Henry Forrest (Tulsa); brothers WJ Lamberth and Manford Lamberth; sisters Ruth Slack, Gloria Dye and Jane Agee.
The family would like to thank the wonderful neighbors who have been there for Mary Anne and brought countless meals during this time. Lori, Lisa and Charlotte, thank you for being you. We thank the family of Randall and Doris Hall for the many years of love and friendship.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her sister Patsy Carter who has selflessly cared for her for the last months of her life. Thank you, Patsy. You have loved her well.
