Lawrence Mayhew

Lawrence Mayhew, age 71, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024. Larry was born Tuesday, July 28, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is preceded in death by his parents, Glorine Shafer and Aubrey Mayhew.

A family man who loved reunions, Larry enjoyed a life that included antique shopping, country music, clogging, the Grand Ole Opry, the Carol Burnett Show, Porter Wagoner, metal detecting, back road traveling and his cats. One of his most beloved talents was capturing his family's greatest moments through photos, ensuring that those memories would endure forever.

Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vicki Mayhew; sons, Joshua Aubrey Mayhew, Justin Lawrence Mayhew and his wife Khin, Brendan Lucas Mayhew; future grandson, Henry Asher Mayhew; brothers, Michael Mayhew, Parris Mayhew and his wife, Barblin, Pete Pike and his wife Nora; and his sister, Casey Mayhew.

Family and friends will gather to remember Larry at a visitation Friday, December 20, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.

A celebration of life will follow the visitation Friday, December 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Music Row.
