Born in Madison, TN to Barbara Stubblefield and the late Thomas Gilford Taylor, Joey is also preceded in death by his step-father Truman Stubblefield. He is survived by his son Brandon Taylor; mother Barbara Jean (Foutch) Stubblefield; brother Leslie Stubblefield (Tisa); sisters Teresa Lee (Todd) and Janie Gwin(Jake); nephews Nathan, Grayson, Garrett; and many other beloved extended family and dear friends.
A graduate of Goodlettsville High School, Joey proudly played his silver trumpet for the Trojan Marching Band, he was a member of FFA and enjoyed shop classes while in school. He was also an Eagle Scout which he obtained at the age of 15. His interests in school lead him to attend Nashville Tech where he became a certified machinist. Joey worked as a machinist for more than 40 years at Peterson Tool Company. He loved being outdoors, hunting and riding motorcycles. His easy-going personality and laid-back style of doing things, his own way and on his own time, will be lovingly missed. Joey will forever remain close to our heart.
