Glenn Kaylor, Jr., age 95, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019. He was born Monday, August 6, 1923 in Heber Springs, Arkansas and is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn E. and Ella Morris Kaylor and his wife Virginia.
A WWII veteran serving in the US Army, discharged at the rank of Corporal; he was in the North African Campaign; was in England, France, The Netherlands and Belgium. A member of Jordonia United Methodist Church, he served as lay minister at Bordeaux United Methodist Church.
Mr. Kaylor is survived by his daughter, Sue Messer and husband, Eddie; son, Frank Kaylor and wife Bettie; sister, Bette Lou Widner and husband, Jackie; brother, Norm Kaylor; grandchildren, Eddie Messer, Jr and wife, Carol, Kristy Cartwright and husband, Corey, Dana McAdams and husband, John, Thomas Clayborn Kaylor and wife, Stephanie, Angela Hall and husband, Tudor, Timothy Brian Kaylor and wife, Kelly; great-grandchildren, Kristan Barczak, Craig Cartwright, Whitney Chumley, Paige Kaylor, T.J. Hall, Caitlyn Hall, Piper Hall, Becca Kaylor, Brandon Kaylor; great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Hall and Charlotte Chumley.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 12:00 Thursday, August 8, 2019 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Rosemary Brown officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be, Eddi Messer, Thomas Kaylor, Timothy Kaylor Corey Cartwright, Tudor Hall and John McAdams. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen and Carol Rogers and members of Jordonia United Methodist Church.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Kaylor at a visitation Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 3:00 until 8:00 and Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 10:00 until the 12:00 service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Pike Goodlettsville, Tennessee 37072
