Charlotte Payne Rainwater, age 91, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Charlotte was born Tuesday, March 14, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ella Mae McClellan Roden; spouses, James Payne and Doug Rainwater; son, Steve Payne; brother, Loran Roden; sister, Diana Thornton.
A member of Grace Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, and had a green thumb when it came to gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Gomer and her husband, Dave; granddaughters, Jessica Poss and her husband, Justin, Christine Dobson and her husband, Rodderick, Alyson Martin and her husband, Zach; grandson, Alex Gomer; great-grandchildren, Brileigh Poss, Mason Poss, James Dobson, Jessica Dobson
Family and friends will gather to remember Charlotte at a visitation Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
A celebration will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 2:00 PM. with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Garden of Devotion II. Serving as pallbearers are Alex Gomer, Zach Martin, Justin Poss, Rodderick Dobson, Tommy Roden and Dave Gomer.
