Charles "Bud" Foster (a.k.a. Pops or Charlie), 69, of Goodlettsville, TN, passed away on November 10, 2022 after a surprisingly long battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS / Lou Gherig's Disease).
Charles was born on April 06, 1953 to Frank & Glenna Foster in Nashville, TN. He graduated from Maplewood High School in 1971. After graduation he attended TN Tech where he was a part of the ROTC program. After he left school, he began to work for Metro Water Services in 1984 and retired after 29 years in 2013. In High School, he met Linda Baskette, and they wed in 1973, going on to have two children, Caleb & Clint. Charles was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Caleb, Clint, & Linda and always tried his best to support them. Charles was also a passionate woodworker, handyman, and devout Christian. Anyone who knew Charles knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
Charles most cherished and prized moment of his life was obtaining his Ranger tab from TN Tech’s ROTC program, his sons Caleb & Clint, and becoming a “Pops” to grandsons Trystan, Logan, Cade and Cole via son Caleb and wife Danielle.
