Jose Dolores Villegas

Jose Dolores Villegas, age 71, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 in Gonzales, Texas. Jose was born September 15, 1950 in Dolores Hidalgo Guanajuanto Mexico to Jose and Maria Asuncion Grimaldo Villegas. Jose has lived in Gonzales since 1978, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Jose enjoyed music, singing, horses, and the rodeo.

A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, with burial to follow at Gonzales Memorial Park. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the funeral home with a break at 6:00 p.m., when a Rosary will be said for Mr. Villegas.

Jose was preceded in death by his wife Maria Ramirez Villegas, parents, Jose and Maria Asuncion Grimaldo Villegas, brothers, Guillermo Villegas, Anastacio Villegas, and his sister Leonarda Villegas.

Jose is survived by his daughter, Pearl Villegas of Gonzales, brothers, Filimon Villegas of Waelder, Cosme Villegas of Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico, sister, Ricarda Ramirez of Gonzales, and one granddaughter Kassandra Juarez of Gonzales.

Jose will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
