Thilda Lee

A resident of Sorrento, she passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at her home at age 89. She was a housekeeper at Holiday Inn, Baton Rouge, and St. Anne Catholic Church rectory, Sorrento. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Wednesday, March 2, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at St. Anne Catholic Church, Sorrento, on Thursday, March 3, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Galea, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum, Gonzales. She is survived by husband, Victor "Buck" J. Walker; three sons and daughters-in-law, Arnold J. Lee and Marie "Teel" Braud, Dale Lee and Judy Melancon and Glenn J. Lee and Joanie Templet; sister, Emmaline LeBlanc; brother, Elwood J. LeBlanc; ten grandchildren, Lisa Nelson, Brian Lee, Tasha Shackelford, Jeffery Lee, Adam Lee, Alissa Caston, Aaron Lee, Jared and Joshua Tullier, Christopher, Betsy, and Bridget Melancon; and eleven great-grandchildren, Ashley and Hannah Nelson, Kennadi Lee, Ally and Samuel Caston V, McKenzi and D.J. Hubbard, Dane Shackelford, Zachary, Jaren, and Adam Tullier. Preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse J. and Orine Dupuy Landry; first husband, Orillean J. "Bee" Lee; four sisters, Audrey Painter and Arys Trabeau, Beatrice "Tootsie" and Ruby LeBlanc; two brothers John "Bubbie" and Joseph "Nig" LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Brian Lee, Adam Lee, Kerry Walker, Sam Caston, Aaron Lee and Joshua Tullier. Special thanks to her caregivers, Christy Chauvin, Ann Barbier and Carol Barbier.
