A graduate of Runnels High School in 1991 and Southeastern Louisiana University School of Nursing in 1997. Suzette was a registered nurse for 25 years and spent the majority of her career employed at Woman’s Hospital working in the NICU and her current position as the Bariatric Surgery Coordinator.
Suzette is preceded in death by her mother, Trudy Janney Gremillion; maternal grandparents, Leah Janney Smither, Clifford Janney; paternal grandparents, Lera and Reginald Gremillion.
Suzette is survived by her loving husband, Chance Fontenot and her pride and joy, her son, William Clay Fontenot; she is also survived by her father, Reggie (Dayna) Gremillion; brothers, Paul (Kathryn) Gremillion and Scott Gremillion; sisters in law, Mendi Fontenot,Charoni (Brad) Sheets, and Patricia (Jeff) Vicknair; mother in law, Wilda Fontenot and father in law, Terry (Vanessa) Fontenot; nephews, Presley Sheets, Gabe Gremillion, Dylan Gremillion, Jack Gremillion; nieces, Raeleigh Shows and Sami Sheets
Suzette lived a passionate life, as she loved her family, loved being a nurse and loved watching her son play sports. Suzette had a gentle soul and a smile that would light up a room. She had a huge heart and always made you feel like you were the most important person to her.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 7653 Main St. Sorrento, LA 70778 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Serving as Pallbearers: Paul Gremillion, Scott Gremillion, Gabe Gremillion, Brad Sheets, Presley Sheets and Ben Gremillion. Honorary Pallbearers: Dylan Gremillion, Jack Gremillion.
