Sue Ann Morvant (Simoneaux) of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 with her husband Danny by her side. Sue was born on March 18,1948 in Thibodaux, LA. She had many joys in her life and filled many roles throughout her 73 years. This included being a homemaker and spending time surrounded by her sisters, friends, and extended family. Her favorite role was being a Granny. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren her many crafts including sewing, quilting, cooking, and scrapbooking. Time with Sue was always full of laughter, jokes, and silliness. She also enjoyed quiet time; reading, journaling, and praying the rosary. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Gleason “Cat” and Cecile Simoneaux; her two sisters Karen Thibodaux and Pat Gonzales; and her grandson Daniel Pruyn. Surviving family members include her husband of 56 years Danny Morvant, her sisters: Debra Ordoyne (husband Reed), Sandra Chaisson (husband Bobby), and Janus Naquin (husband Jody); her daughters: Dana Morvant, Denise Bourgeois (husband Mike), Dawn Pruyn (husband Scott ), and Devaney Pitre (husband Dennis). Also her ten grandchildren: Olivia Bourgeois Stoufflet (husband Brad), Emily Pruyn Sydorov (husband Ivan), Anna, Megan, Claire, Lily, Owen, and Nathan Pruyn, Carsen Griffon, and Linkin LeBlanc. And lastly, her 2 great grandchildren Evangeline and Nolan Stoufflet. Visitation for Sue will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Airline Hwy, Gonzales La. on February 3, 2022 from 5 pm till 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Hwy 73, Prairieville, La at 11:30 am. She will be laid to rest in Serenity Oaks Cemetery, Hwy 73, Prairieville, La. A celebration of Life will be held immediately following the burial at The Venue, Hwy 431, St. Amant La. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St Jude or St Vincent de Paul.
