Robin Gail Harris Edwards, 54, passed with her loving husband by her side on March 23, 2017. She was born in Lake Charles, LA to Aubert “Bud” Harris and Louvicie “Lou” Harris on October 9th, 1962. Anyone who knew Robin knew that she loved her family fiercely and passionately. She has always been a servant at heart and dedicated her time as a young mother to her children as a teacher. She served her church as a Bible study leader, a mentor, a receptionist, and even started a library in one of her past home churches. She also served in AWANA children's ministry programs at three different churches for 13 years. As a member of Ascension Baptist Church in Gonzales, LA she was involved in maintaining their social media accounts and was only just beginning to start yet another Bible study. Later in life, she found a renewed purpose in serving her country as an advocate and defender of her strong conservative beliefs and morals. She was a founding member of the Baton Rouge Tea Party and then began Louisiana Grassroots, a conservative lobbying organization. A few years later she left politics
and gratefully settled into the role of a devoted and faithful 'Mawmaw'.
Many will remember Robin for her bright smile, her drive and purposefulness, and the wholehearted love she had for her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded by her father, Aubert “Bud” Harris and sister, Jennifer Harris. She is succeeded by her husband, Keith, mother, Louvicie “Lou” Stone , sister’s Sharon Watkins of Corpus Christi, TX and Laura Sepich of Pittsburg, PA, daughter’s Jessica Sevin and Devin Edwards of Ypsilanti, MI, and her grandchildren, Layton and Brooklynn Sevin.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, March 27th at Ascension Baptist Church. Services will immediately follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Baton Rouge, La following the Service.
