Reynelle Bercegeay, a life-long resident of Dutchtown passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the age of 89. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She loved her family, and enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews and grandkids. She spent many hours outside tending to her vegetable garden and her flowers. Not only did she love to cook and bake cakes but she was known for and sought out for her wonderful wedding cakes. She also enjoyed doing bridal alterations with her best friend Marian LeBlanc. Reynelle was a life-long member of St. John Catholic Church, the ladies Alter Society and the bereavement group and help with the church fair for many years. She is survived by her children, Christine Bercegeay, Arlene Mire (Mike), Lisa Bercegeay, Andrew “Andy” Bercegeay (Sandra “Sandy”) and Mark Bercegeay (Stephanie); grandchildren, Joshua Bercegeay (Kayla), Meredith Bercegeay, Jessica Howell, Shayne Howell, John Cooper Jr. (Sarah), Courtney Cooper, and Jorden Cooper (Kacey); great grandchildren, Aubree, Alex, Ethan, Braxton, Gavin, Holden, Levan, Corbin, Hannah, John III, Natalie, Micah, Haley, Kaley, and Olivia; sisters, Joyce Kling (A.J.) and Michael “Mickey” Braud; brothers, J. Wayne Braud (Nina Jo) and Terry Braud (Marsha) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Pamp” Bercegeay, her parents, Adam and Enola Babin Braud, and her brother, Randy Braud. Services for Reynelle will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Hwy 73, Prairieville, La with visitation from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11 am.
