Nira Babin Philippe

Nira Babin Philippe, 90, a native of Gonzales and resident of St. Amant, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex Paul Babin and Elna Marie Gautreau Babin;and Perry Babin, Helen LeBeau, and David Philippe. Nira is survived by her children, Lisa P. Dunigan, Susan Corken, Doyle (Cheryl) Philippe, Darren (Patti) Philippe, and Devin (Cherron) Philippe. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Melissa (Joey) Timberlake, Jenifer Burch, Britney (Cade) Gautreau, Derrick Philippe, Christopher Philippe, Whitnie (Tucker) Coldiron, Jacob (Kendall) Philippe, Dylan (Kate) Philippe, Kacie (Will) Teague, Dustin Philippe, Kade Dunigan, Taylor (Nick) Dyer, Marcus Fuqua, and Kaylee (Jonathan) Allen, along with her adored great-grandchildren. Pallbearers honored to serve are Christopher Philippe, Dylan Philippe, Derrick Philippe, Dustin Philippe, Jacob Philippe, and Kade Dunigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Graceworks Church, located at 16131 LA-44, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, with a committal service at 1:00 PM at Hope Haven Garden of Memory, 604 E. Hwy 30, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.
