He retired as Superintendent of Industrial Relations of the Ormet Corporation following 40 years of service in the aluminum and oil industries, then joined the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s office where he served as a bailiff with the 23rd Judicial Court for 12 years. He was 85 years old, a resident of Gonzales and a native of Convent. He died October 18, 2016 at the Carpenter House. Services will be at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church on Friday, October 21, 2016. Rosary at 8:45 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Michael Galea. Interment in Hope Haven Cemetery in Gonzales. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Donner Roussell Boudreaux; one son, Herbert Boudreaux and three daughters: Lisa Belt, Janice Pfister and Carolyn Boudreaux; four step-children, Steven, Donald and Robert Parker and Vicki Barnett; thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey O’Cain and Joy Holdridge; one brother, Daniel Boudreaux; three sons-in-law: William Barnett, Tommy Belt, and Vernon Pfister and a daughter-in-law, Choyer Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elia Tregre Boudreaux; one son, Kenneth Boudreaux; one sister, Daisy Schexnaydre; four brothers, Johnny, Percy, Davis and Clay Boudreaux and two grandchildren. He was a member and Past Grand Knight of St. Theresa Council 2657, Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. During his lifetime, he participated in several business, civil, social and religious organizations, having served as president of the Gonzales Lion’s Club, the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce, the Baton Rouge chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers, the B. R. Credit Union Chapter, the Burnside Federal Credit Union and the St. Mary’s Community Club. He was a member of the City of Gonzales Planning and Zoning Commission for 21 years and a member of the Ascension Parish Human Resources review board for 8 years.
