Jennifer Ruth Burnette passed away on February 18, 2021 at the age of 36 after a long, hard-fought battle with addiction. Although her addiction was strong, it did not define who she was. She was a daughter, sister, niece and friend to many. Jennifer was always a happy, quirky person. She often could be heard quoting comedy movies to lighten the mood. Jennifer loved to make others laugh and smile. Although her sparkle in life was stolen by her addiction, her family and friends choose to remember the goofy girl she was at heart. She is survived by her parents; Mike and Jacky Burnette, her sister Michelle Thompson Jackson and her husband Patrick and her nieces Olivia and Ella. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles; Mike and Patty O’Neal of Baton Rouge, La, Kim and Allen Bonner of Savanah, GA, Nancy and Mike Mensik of Pearland, TX and Whitney L. Burnette of Lafayette, LA. She was the longtime companion of Travis Williams and always held a special place in her heart for his daughter Kalyiana. Jennifer is preceded in death by her grandparents; Jack and Erline O’Neal. She will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
